United States, US, has aired its opinion on the recently released EndSARS Panel Report, hinting that once the Federal Government of Nigeria concludes its assessment, it would be looking forward to seeing the expected outcome.

Antony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, made the position of the American Government known to the Nigerian Counterparts. He described the reports of the judicial panels of enquiry, set up by states as “Democracy in Action.”

Still stressing their position on the #EndSARS probe panel revelations, Blinken noted that his presence as a representative of the American Government states that they look forward to necessary reforms within Nigerian security agencies.

This opinion was contained in a press release issued by the Presidency, where it also indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari played host to the US Secretary of State on Thursday in Abuja.

Buhari’s Position on EndSARS Panel Report

According to the statement, President Buhari declared that state governments would have to take steps on their panels’ reports before the federal Government acts on the recommendations.

Recall that in its findings, the Lagos panel said security operatives “killed unarmed protesters” who had gathered at the Lekki tollgate.
