Manchester United Skipper Harry Maguire has been arrested for fighting a police officer in Greece, it was gathered that the player attacked a policeman outside a bar of where he was chilling with his friends. This happened after their knock out from the Europa League by Sevilla, after the knock-out he decided to travel to Greece for the summer holiday.
The 27-year-old was allegedly involved in a dispute with other British tourists in the early hours of Friday morning, August 21, before police intervened. According to Sports Bible, the United skipper Harry Maguire and three other men attacked the police who came to the scene.
Both Harry Maguire and the other persons who attacked the police were taken to Mykonos police station, the England international was said to have verbally and physically attacked the police. Even his club Manchester United have confirmed the incident claiming that they are aware that their captain Harry Maguire was involved in a dispute. They said they have contacted their captain he is fully cooperating with the Greece authorities.
For now, the world most expensive defender will still be in the police custody pending when he will be released, the English Premier League is set to resume but Manchester United will be resuming later because of their involvement in the Europa League competition.
