Nigeria and former AS Roma forward Umar Sadiq has rejected a move that will see the chance to join top English Premier League side Manchester City. According to reports, the Citizens are the only club interested in meeting Almeria concerning the player, but he has now said no to the move.
Some weeks back, English Premier League defending champions Manchester City said they would like to sign the player as they need more players in the attack line since the departure of Kun Sergio Aguero. Umar Sadiq scored 20 league goals for Almeria in the 2020/21 season.
Many clubs want to sign the Nigerian international, but his club Almeria has put an enormous price tag on him, which has made most of the club backed out on him. Manchester City said they would want the Spanish decision two sides to loan him to them, but the player said he does not wish to go on loan.
Umar Sadiq said he wants first-team football, and he does not want to go to France. He made this notice known because a club from France (Troyes) was also interested in him. It was gathered that he wants to play in the top flight in either Spain or England, where he can fully showcase his talent, but he will not want it to be a loan move.
