A former Lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to transfer power to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The former Lawmaker wants President Buhari to write a letter to the National Assembly before leaving the country in-line with the constitutional provision.
Dino made this assertion in reaction to a statement issued by the Presidency noting that president Buhari is billed for a routine Medical Check-up in London, the United Kingdom.
According to the Presidency, Buhari would proceed to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.
The President would meet with Security Chiefs, after which he embarks on the journey. He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021.
Meanwhile, Buhari had on Monday launched the Decade of Gas in Nigeria.
The President added that the declaration of the year 2020 as the Year of Gas in Nigeria was a bold statement to demonstrate his administration’s resolve that gas development and utilization should be a National priority.
Buhari further opined that his administration is developing gas infrastructure, increasing domestic utilization of LPG and CNG, commercializing gas flares, developing industrial gas markets, and increasing gas-to-power.
