with the consistent efforts put by both the players, clubs, the health workers and the Government there is great possibility of the the coronavirus meeting its end soon. Not withstanding no definite decision has been made yet but Uefa is keen to leave all options on the table for as long as possible given the general uncertainty across Europe.

They will encounter some hindrances should the Champions League and Europa League resume now of which the major one is travel restrictions. But the management are looking at less cases of the coronavirus by Auguest and since the Uefa Champions League and the Europa League are all to be played home and away it will be wise to wait till the virus is reduced the lowest minimum.

Uefa is looking at a scenario where the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the respective European competitions will be played as two-legged ties between 11 and 22 August. In the plans now being discussed, there would be some flexibility for domestic fixtures to be played in August if the domestic leagues are not completed before the end of July.

The English Premier League has nine games left to play while the Spanish and Italian leagues has 11 and 12 games respectively both both of them have fewer cup games to fit into their schedules.
