Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has revealed what she told colleague, Desmond Elliot after his bashing by Nigerians.
Desmond Elliot, an actor turned lawmaker was slammed by Nigerians over his comment on the END SARS protest. He also referred to the youths as ‘Children’ while calling for social media regulation.
The Lagos lawmaker got sticks from Nigerians including celebrities.
Desmond’s colleague and friend in the film industry, Uche Jombo also reacted. In a tweet today, Thursday 29th of October, Uche Jumbo stated that she can disagree with the lawmaker’s speech.
She has now revealed what she told the lawmaker when she called him on phone.
Uche Jombo in another tweet stated that she told Desmond Elliot ( and lawmakers) to focus on the problems at hand. She listed the problems as in hashtags which include bad governance, police brutality, and police reform.
She further added the question Nigerians needs to know which is who ordered Lekki shooting.
Uche Jombo stated that these are important than social media bill. She wrote, “Not #socialmediabill which is exactly what I told Desmond on the phone”
Meanwhile, Desmond Elliot, in a social media post has apologized to young Nigerians for calling them ‘children’.
