And Fury, quite honestly, answered: “Yes, in July.”

The Gypsy King’s all-British heavyweight unification showdown with AJ is one of the most highly-anticipated fights in the sport’s history, and speculation has been rife for months about negotiations.

Both fighters signed a two-bout agreement last month, but Top Rank and Eddie Hearn have been working ‘non-stop’ since to secure a full arrangement.

According to Fury’s US-based promoter Bob Arum, the bout is set for Saudi Arabia. It is expected to take place during the Tokyo Olympics, with July 24 or 31 appearing as the most likely dates.
