Frank Lampard of Chelsea football club has come out to confirm that two of their players Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be out of action for at least two weeks after sustaining an injury in their last game.
During the Blues’ Premier League win over Leeds United in the English Premier League Ziyech sustained a hamstring injury and the Morocco international is now recuperating. Since joining Chelsea from Ajax, Hakim Ziyech has not really been impressive for the Stamford London side, he has been suffering from one injury to the other.
Before the Blues’ Champions League game against Krasnodar, Hudson-Odoi also sustained hamstring in training which ruled him out of the encounter. According to the report on UK Sun, the two players have been accessed by Chelsea’s medical team, and said they wont be able to play till after two weeks.
Lampard is optimistic that they would return to training in two weeks. The manager said: “Both players are hopefully going to be out for around two weeks. They had scans yesterday and their injuries are showing that they will be about two weeks.”
He also said: “With Callum, we didn’t know what to expect. It was an injury he got in training a couple of days ago.” Chelsea is currently occupying the third-place position with 22 points after playing 11 games.
