18 year old girl killed; the suspects
Two men have been arrested by the Niger state police command for killing and dismembering an 18 year old girl in Effa village in Lavun local government area of the state.
The two suspects, Abdulkadir Alh. Ibrahim and Abubakar Idris Kullel confessed to killing one Hauwa Saidu in Effa Village, Lavun LGA, Niger state.
Spokesperson of the Niger state Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun released a statement on the case. He said based on information received, police operatives attached to SARS Minna, arrested Ibrahim and Idris, who allegedly conspired among themselves and lured an 18 year old girl, Hauwa Saidu of Fulani camp Kpada to Effa village Lavun LGA where she was attacked and killed with their cutlass.
The spokesperson said some parts of the deceased’s body were severed and taken away while her remains were abandoned in the bush were she was killed . Hauwa’s remains were recovered and the suspects were arrested.
Wasiu affirmmed that the suspects will be prosecuted as soon as investigation is concluded.
