In today’s transfer news, we will be looking at the fight of two English teams for one English Man, Manchester City have declared interest in signing Manchester United target Aston Villa’s 24-year-old midfielder Jack Grealish, should Bayern Munich buy German winger Leroy Sane. Manchester United have been on the player’s case for some time now with Manchester City coming in it is going a matter of the player deciding which he prefers now.

Manchester United was looking at using Jack Grealish to replace Angel Gomes who Chelsea have shown interest signing. The 19-year-old Englishman has also had a number of offers outside of Great Britain according to reports. Chelsea targets Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onan, 24, and Argentine left-back Nicolas Tagliafico, 27 have been told they can leave Ajax. The Dutch club’s manager Erik ten Hag says midfielder and Manchester United target Donny van de Beek, 23, could leave once the transfer window reopens. 

Also, Arsenal is trending in the transfer news as they have declared interest in British born Nigerian 18-year-old striker Folarin Balogun from Southampton. Paris St-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa has signed a new four-year deal with the club. The Frenchman, 27, had been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool. Leicester City’s 18-year-old full-back Dennis Gyamfi will leave the club when his contract expires on 30 June. The Netherlands youth international has turned down several contract offers from the Foxes. 

Newcastle and Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Wolfsburg’s Dutch 27-year-old striker Wout Weghorst for 35m euros (£31.9m). The Magpies are also considering signing French forward Thomas Robert who is 19-year-old son of former Newcastle player Laurent Robert from Montpellier on a free transfer.
