Alex Tuanzebe Suffers Racial Abuse after United Loss
The player made his first Premier League start of the season against the Sheffield, and it came out low for the player. The 23-year-old was also booked and then substituted for Donny van de Beek in the game’s 82nd minute.
It was United’s fourth Premier League lost this season. After the game, he was racial abused on his Instagram account. People called him names like ‘DAMNNN N*‘ and several abhorrent monkey emojis on an old photo that he had posted a fortnight ago of his United shirt and number.
Ex-United skipper Rio Ferdinand condemned the comments made on Tuanzebe’s account, and he wrote on his Twitter account saying: “This is a disgrace. These ignorant idiots need to be exposed so everyone can see them for what they are!”
Some reports also have it that Alex Tuanzebe has deleted his Twitter account due to the abuse he received following the game at Old Trafford.
Alex is not the only player to suffer such abuse Tammy Abraham, Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba have also received the same treatment.
