The ‘Daily Show’ host Trevor Noah has been confirmed to host the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022.

CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., making this announcement, said, “We’re so excited to welcome Trevor back to the Grammys stage.”

He added that the academy feels fortunate to have him hosting what they believe will be an unforgettable evening.

Noah returns as host of the Academy Awards in 2022 after hosting the 63rd edition of the award on March 14, 2021, after it was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The 37-year-old comedian will continue a tradition of the Award hosts returning for at least two consecutive stints since it started with LL Cool J in 2012.

Mason Jr., praising Noah, called him a fantastic host who has garnered praise from the music community.

Last week, the Grammy Academy Awards announced the nominees for this year, and for the first time, ten nominees are up for the ‘Big Four’ categories, which are the best new artist, the album of the year, the record of the year and song of the year.

Nigerian singers nominated for this year’s awards include Wizkid, Burna Boy, Made Kuti and Tems, while Angelique Kidjo of Benin Republic also made the nomination list.

The show will hold on January 31, 2022, at the crypto.com Arena, formerly Staples Center, Los Angeles.
