Following Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to struggling Burnley football lovers has been questioning Trent Alexander-Arnold’s abilities as his performance was very poor in the game. The England right-back has dropped in form since the start of the 2020/21 season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold put up a horrible performance in the 1-0 loss which Jurgen Klopp has come out to accept the blame. He made over 18 crosses, and none of the crosses was completed. The England defender struggled in most parts of the game as Liverpool lost for the first time at Arnold after 68 games were unbeaten.
His 18 crosses from open play had zero per cent success rate in the whole 90 minutes of the game. The 22-year-old broke a record in the game as he became the only player in the English topflight division in the last five seasons to fail to reach a teammate in 12 attempts in a single match.
The right-back gave the ball away 38 times against Southampton and lost possession 39 times which was a Premier League record. Liverpool is now in the fourth place position with six points behind league leaders Manchester United.
