French Ligue 1 top side Marseille have completed the signing of Senegalese star Ismaïla Sarr from Sky Bet Championship side Watford. The former Liverpool target Ismaila Sarr scored six goals in his debut season with the Championship club Watford, including two against Liverpool. The Senegal international Watford completed the move to the French side Marseille for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old scored 34 goals in 131 appearances for Watford across all competitions since joining them from Rennes in August 2019. Sarr, who helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations last year, joined Watford for a club record fee of £27m and played for them in the Premier League in 2019-20 and 2021-22.
Last season he scored a total of ten goals in 39 appearances last season for the Championship side the Hornets, he has now made a return to the French Ligue.
