Traders in computer village Ikeja have shutdown the market following plans to install Iyaoloja and Babaooja in the hub.

The traders protested saying that the activity has no economic or innovative value to the hub. They said it is not a market for food items and should not be reckoned with such activity.

The traders said the act is that of oppression and that installing such will undermine the international outlook of the hub.

Speaking on the plans, some of the traders said:

“What does the Iyaoloja and Babaloja have to offer, what value are they going to add to the hub? And what technological innovations are they bringing?”

“The computer village is not like any other street market where pepper and other things are sold.”

“It is an international technological hub and it should be treated as such,”

They stated that the installation will disturb the peace which the computer village have enjoyed from genesis.
