Today is a Super Saturday!!!  The Super Falcons are facing Germany in the Women’s World Cup. While the Super Eagles will face Burundi in the Africa Nations Cup.

Super Falcons

The Super Falcons, on their part, flew into Grenoble yesterday for their knockout clash against two-time world champions Germany. They will be without experienced defender Ngozi Ebere, who was sent off against France. And inspirational midfielder Rita Chikwelu, who bagged a second booking to get a one-match suspension.

A confident coach Thomas Dennerby has hailed his team as world-class ahead of this evening’s clash against Germany.

Skipper Mikel Obi will marshal the midfield along with Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo. As expected, Daniel Akpeyi is the No 1 choice in goal and his defenders are fullbacks Abdullahi Shehu, Ola Aina with Kenneth Omeruo and William Ekong as central defenders.
