Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has given some reason why he’d partake in the 2023 Presidential Election.
The political mastermind, a former governor of Lagos State, first gave a hint that he’d refuse to reject calls from his supporters and admirers asking for his participation in the forthcoming polls.
Tinubu technically declared his intentions to run and even made it more apparent when he mentioned the need to make consultations widely and effectively before officially announcing.
He made the statement yesterday in Abuja immediately after a private meeting ended among the leadership of the Northern Alliance Committee, NAC.
His words: “I am not going to turn them down, but I will still effective and widely consult, particularly brainstorm with my friends and find a date to come out openly and tell Nigerians.”
He pointed out this is not the right time to start showing interest as the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria still occupies the position, adding it would not be proper to distract President Muhammadu Buhari with all the challenges bothering Nigeria.
