Tinubu Makes Mockery of Ndi Igbo

Share

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Candidate, was in Enugu State campaigning for the forthcoming general elections. He made a remark that didn’t sit well with some states elders and youths.

While addressing the crowd, the Jagaban echoed Brymo’s insults against Ndi Igbo. He said, “Until Bola Tinubu becomes the president of Nigeria, we will not give you a slight clap or a soaked slice of bread.”

He earlier stated that nobody would give them any credit now that the Igbos are working hard and sweating for the party’s cause unless they deliver and make him the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He insisted that they should continue ‘sweating for APC in order to deliver victory and crown their efforts in the 2023 presidential election race.

His speech sparked numerous reactions on Twitter, mostly from people from the Eastern parts of Nigeria. They criticised his statement and further blamed the Igbo Group for stooping that low because of the crumbs they expect from Asiwaju.

@talk2ebby tweeted about the speech, “Just imagine if the same thing was said to the Northerners. And Hopeless Uzodima was laughing. We will retire all these enemies of the Ndi Igbo very soon.”

On his part, @elonchorch recalled how the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, also spat on the face of the same Igbo Group.

He tweeted, “Atiku: Ndi Igbo support me because I am your only stepping stone to the presidency.

“Asiwaju who can’t even hold his urine is saying, “If Igbos don’t support him till he “became” the president, he won’t give them soaked sliced bread.”

“Ndi Igbo, who did y’all offend?” Elon asked.
