Chelsea and Germany forward Timo Werner says there is much more to come from him after going so long without scoring. The player made it clear that he has never gone this far with scoring in his entire career.

Timo Werner said he has never experienced a goal drought like the one he is currently facing in Chelsea before. The German international who joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig for £53m last summer went 14 EPL games without a goal from November to February.

Timo Werner Speaks About his Goal Drought

According to him, he said: “It was tough for me because I want to help the team.” “I want to score, and it’s in my nature. I am a striker.” The player is making this known ahead of their clash against Liverpool.

He has only managed to score five goals this season in 25 appearances since joining the English Premier League. He is, however, ready to work and contribute to the team. Timo said he has never had such a goal drought before, so he can’t explain what’s wrong now.

He has, in this challenging time, learnt how to trust more in himself. According to him, there is so much a person can learn from bad situations, and he is learning.

Chelsea will be playing the defending champions Liverpool tonight, and Ngolo Kante has sounded a warning to the Liverpool team, saying they will win and not just play.
