Growing up, I’ve always wondered why adults choose to live very complicated lives. I mean, how hard is it really to just do things and be straightforward?. I couldn’t wait to grow up and kickass. Well, let’s fast forward to now.

I was indeed naive. There is honestly nothing easy about being an adult. Don’t even get me started with the bills and how hard you have to work. Apparently, that’s the easy part I guess.
As a young adult, the struggles are enormous. From trying to have your life all figured out, to the complexities in relationships and even internal conflicts with yourself.

I keep on wondering when it gets easy that is if it even gets easy. Sometimes everything happens all at the same time. Just when you thought you got the hang of something then a thousand others fall out of place.

I know how frustrating it gets when trying to meet new people and maintaining old friendships. Finding the balance in your life right now all seems like a struggle and honestly, I feel too tired to even try sometimes.

Everything seems to be happening all at the same time. You’re learning a lot of things about yourself and you’re overwhelmed, I get

You know all those write-ups people post and say life does not have to be that complicated if you have questions ask if you miss someone call….. And so on. Well while that may be partly true, I guess things aren’t just as straightforward as it seems.

Well, maybe it gets easier, or not. One thing is for sure, you’ll thrive. Just as you’ve been doing, just as you’re doing. Try not to overthink and push yourself too hard. Trying so hard not to fail, to make your family proud, to pursue your dreams and most times, some people.

I’m not saying you should neglect things that matter. But you’re honestly just one person. Besides, Rome was not built in one day! Take it one day at a time. Gradually as it comes. And if something seems out of your control, learn the beauty of letting things go.

Relax and breathe. I know that’s the last thing you want to hear but you’ll be fine. I’m not saying that just to sound positive or whatever, but I’m saying it because it’s true. There’s something time does. And with time you’ll appreciate it all.

You can’t get it right immediately. So don’t try to kill yourself. In the meantime, don’t be too engrossed in trying to get it right that you forget to enjoy the moments that count with the people that do. Have fun! Life is for living.
