Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Christian Pulisic and the club’s skipper Cesar Azpilicueta will miss the Blues’ Champions League second-leg round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich after picking up hamstring injuries. Azpilicueta and Pulisic limped off during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat by Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Chelsea will be travelling to German on the 8th of August to play their second leg of the Uefa Champions League tie which Bayern is winning on aggregate 3-0.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said: “I don’t know the full extent of the injuries.” “But I know the hamstrings with Azpi and Christian they have to be scanned and assessed over the next few days.” “They clearly won’t be fit for next week.” One other player could also be left out of the game, Pedro joined the list of players in the injury room he suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder late in the FA Cup final which they lost.
