Fucked up, disgusting, horrific, extreme… Whatever your poison, I have assembled this list of the most disturbing movies ever made. Much time and patience has been put into this list.

1. Salò or the 120 Days of Sodom(Most Disturbing Movies Ever Made)

Most Disturbing Movies Ever Made

The most provocative and disturbing movie ever made in history. It explored sodomy, orgy, rape, violence and murder.  The director was brutally murdered 2 years before the movie was released.

2. A Serbian Film  (2010)

Most Disturbing Movies Ever Made

You cannot unsee this movie if you watch it. Nothing prepared me for this. This movie is so disturbing that it was banned in Spain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Norway, never to be shown. It is beyond horrible.

3. Jungle Holocaust (1977)

Most Disturbing Movies Ever Made

You’ve seen Cannibal Holocaust. I strongly believe that Jungle Holocaust is worse. An oil prospector escapes from capture by a primitive cannibal tribe in the Philippine rain forest and heads out to locate his missing companion and their plane to return home.

4. Caligula (1979)

Most Disturbing Movies Ever Made

This movie stretched the limits of cinematic experience at the time. It was a big-budget movie of any sexual act and violence you can think of. Its uncut version was banned in several countries. Caligula (Italian: Caligola) is a 1979 erotic historical drama film focusing on the rise and fall of the eponymous Roman Emperor Caligula

5. Nekromantik (1987)

This is extremely disturbing and provocative. DO NOT try to watch this if you can’t stomach seeing two people and a corpse involved in sexual activities. This pushed the limits of horror, sick and disgusting. It will test your endurance.

6. Martyrs (2008)

For many this movie was an authentic artistic expression that catered to the interest of those who love seeing blood in movies. I must say that I wanted more but that’s just because I love gory.

7. Anti Christ  (2009)

This movie will provoke your emotions. It is dark, disturbing, sick, confusing, creepy, depressing and erotic. It tells the story of a couple who, after the death of their child, retreat to a cabin in the woods where the man experiences strange visions and the woman manifests increasingly violent sexual behaviour and sadomasochism. The narrative is divided into a prologue, four chapters and an epilogue.

8. The Human Centipede (2009)

Imagine having a fetish about lining people up and sewing them together butt to mouth. The Dr kidnaps people and does that to them. Film was so bad that British Film Censors board requested 32 cuts before being able to show it.

9. The Green Inferno (2014)

Left this out initially but maybe it should be there. A group of young white saviors goes to an Amazon forest to protest deforestation but things turned out bad for them. They met a group of isolated flesh-eating, ritual-led and violent Amazonians.
