Taye Taiwo Joins Top Finish 3rd Division Club

Former Super Eagles of Nigeria and AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo has signed a new contract with a Finnish third division club, Palloilijat, on a one-year contract. The contract will start running from the 1st of January 2022 next year. The defender who played alongside John Obi Mikel in the Holland 2008 U-20 tournament won the best goal of the tournament, and Messi was the best player.  

Taye Taiwo Joins Palloilijat on a One Year Contarct

The 36-year-old left-back previously played in Finland with HJK Helsinki and RoPS. Taye Taiwo spent the 2015/16 campaign with HJK Helsinki, scoring six goals in 32 league appearances. He also spent two seasons with RoPS appearing in 60 games with two goals to his name. He played his best game with French Ligue 1 top side Olympique de Marseille where he is respected.

Taye Taiwo played a couple of big clubs across Europe, played for AC Milan, and played for the English Championship side Queens Park Rangers. The Nigerian also played for Dynamo Kyiv Bursaspor, HJK Helsinki, Lausanne, AFC Eskilstuna, RoPS, Doxa, and Katokopias.
