Taiwo Awoniyi Eyes Liverpool Exit
Taiwo Awoniyi joined Liverpool from Imperial Soccer Academy in 2015, but he has not made an appearance for the English Premier League club since his arrival. The 23-year-old has spent time on loan eight times, enjoying stints with clubs in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
The forward would be eligible to make his long-awaited Liverpool debut next season after recently earning a UK work permit. However, with a number of clubs coming for the player, the club could let the player final go on a permanent basis.
The likes of Anderlecht and English Premier League side West Bromwich and Stoke City have all shown interest in the player. Anderlecht has made a €5m bid but rejected by Liverpool.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is also said to be a fan, though Alfredo Morelos’ uncertain future will dictate the Scottish champions’ need for striking reinforcements.
