Suspicions Cancelled as CBN Governor, Emefiele, Buys ₦100m APC Form

All suspicions have been laid to rest as the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has just purchased the All Progressives Congress, APC Nomination and Expression of Interest Form worth one hundred million naira (₦100,000,000).

The ₦100m was reportedly paid on behalf of the bank’s Governor by his associates at around mid-day in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, as he is expected to contest under the platform of the ruling APC.

There have been speculations whether or not the apex bank governor, Godwin Emefiele would truly partake in the 2023 presidential elections, but all anxiety that had greeted the rumoured bid of Emefiele to contest for the office are now behind those individuals earlier circulating the rumours.

Since last year, there had been calls from various interest groups for the resignation of Emefiele as the CBN Governor, following his rumoured interest in the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that for several weeks, different interest groups in their public campaigns had urged the bank’s Governor, to throw his hat in the ring and contest for the office of the president in 2023 general election.
