Reacting, the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom said his administration will not succumb to attacks by terrorists whether they are jihadists or militia herders.

Ortom, who confirmed the sad incident while addressing journalists when he visited the scene of the attack described it as unfortunate.

According to him, the series of attacks was a grand plan to discourage operations of Livestock Guards and Agro Rangers in the State.

He, however, lamented that developed climes globally with a higher number of cattle compared to Nigeria have no cases of conflicts between herders and farmers.
