The Super Eagles of Nigeria will have their final training session today at 11:30 pm Nigerian time, inside the Red Bull Arena ahead of their international friendly game against Ecuador. This was disclosed by the Super Eagles media officer Babafemi Raji. According to him, before the team’s final training session which will be open to the media in the first 20 minutes, the Eagles’ new coach Peseiro will have a press conference at 6 pm (11 pm Nigerian time).
Ecuador head coach Gustavo Alfaro will talk to the media at 9:30 pm and have his team’s final training session also inside the Red Bull Arena at 10 pm. Also, the first 20 minutes will be open to the media. The game between Nigeria and Ecuador will kick off on Friday, June 3 at 1:30 am (early hours in Nigeria). After the game, both coaches and selected players from the two teams will take part in the post-match press conference.
Nigeria lost their last game 2-1 to Mexico with Cyriel Dessers opening his international goal account. Meanwhile, the Super Eagles have been boosted by the arrival of Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis. However, Rangers defender Leon Balogun has been ruled out of the game against Ecuador due to a calf injury.
It is however believed that the Scottish Cup winner will be fit to join the team in Abuja this weekend for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Mauritius.
