Super Eagles Drops In October Fifa Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped in the latest Fifa ranking released recently by two places. The Eagles dropped from 34th to 36th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world ranking. The order was released on FIFA’s official website in the early hours of Thursday, 21st of October 2021.

Super Eagles Fails Progress in Fifa Ranking

In Africa, Nigeria Eagles remain in the fifth-place position behind Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco and AFCON champions Algeria. The Lone Stars of Liberia, who will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier, also dropped. They dropped by six places from 144th to 150th. At the same time, Cape Verde moves up one spot from 77th to 76th.

Meanwhile, Belgium and Brazil maintained first and second places respectively, with France replacing England in the third spot. European champions Italy are in fourth, and England occupies the fifth-place position. The following FIFA ranking will be published on the 25th of November, 2021.
