Super Eagles of Nigeria and former Spanish La Liga side Leganes defender Chidozie Awaziem has completed his loan move to Portuguese Primeira Liga club Boavista on a one-year loan deal , Awaziem moved to Boavista from another Portuguese club FC Porto.
Boavista has the option to make the loan permanent after the end of the season. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Spanish club Leganes, he played as right-full-back but can also play in the central defence. The versatile defender linked up with Porto from Nigeria Professional Football League club El-Kanemi Warriors in 2015.
He made just 10 senior appearances for Porto. Awaziem also spent time on loan at French Ligue 1 club Nantes and Turkey’s Caykur Rizespor. The player was linked a possible move to Spanish La Liga Sevilla but it did not work out for the player.
