Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr will likely use Everton star player Alex Iwobi, Mikel Agu and new invitee Frank Onyeka in the midfield against Algeria on Friday. The three-time African champions are without regulars Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Oghenekaro Etebo for the game.
Both Joe and Ndidi are sidelined with injury while Etebo was not invited, according to reports Alex Iwobi, Mikel Agu and Onyeka have been impressive in their training and so head coach of the team Gernot Rohr likely to start them against the Algerians.
Former Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani, who has also been impressive in training will start the game from the bench. Mikel Agu, who has been in and out of the Super Eagles in recent years will look to cement a starting berth in the team, while Onyeka will be desperate to replicate his club form at the international level.
Friday’s friendly game against Algeria will take place at the Worthersee Stadium, Klagenfurt. the game is st to start by 7.30 pm Nigerian time tomorrow which is Friday.
The Super Eagles head coach has made it clear that their game against Algeria is not a revenge mission. The Super Eagles will also take on the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in another friendly next week Tuesday at the Jacques Lemans Arena.
