It’s a tough week for Steve Harvey. Not only did his talk show get officially cancelled, but he also lost his hosting gig on NBC’s Little Big Shots.
The Steve Harvey Show got canceled by NBC after seven years with the network. The final episode of the show was taped on Thursday with originals set to air until June. Reruns of the show will continue to air until September. In its place, the network will air Kelly Clarkson‘s new daytime show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Harvey will also be replaced by Melissa McCarthy, on Little Big Shots.
NBC’s co-chairman of entertainment Paul Telegdy said in a statement. “Melissa’s just an incredible performer and incredible comedian. She will bring a completely fresh perspective to it. Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas. Changes will be apparent.”
Not that Harvey will be on the unemployment line any time soon though. He has been hosting Family Feud for nearly a decade and shot it in Atlanta for many years until 2017. He also hosts the Miss USA pageant and Fox’s New Year’s special. Along with Showtime at the Apollo and the celebrity version of Family Feud. He hosts a syndicated radio show every morning, heard locally on Magic 107.5/97.5 and the station has been seeing record high ratings lately.
