Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, somehow managed to attract his counterpart’s attention in the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, when he commented on the collapsed National Grid that happened Wednesday.
Obi earlier reacted to the electricity grid conundrum, citing a report that publicised the collapse for the sixth time in a seven-month space.
He tweeted, hinting that the situation is alarming and has left many Nigerian citizens tied to darkness without any power supply.
The moment AAC’s flag bearer saw Obi’s tweet, he resorted to throwing shade by informing the public that the exalted LP presidential candidate was once a special adviser during the past democratic administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The criticism was contained under the #OBIDIOTS trend on Twitter, a snapshot of their posts plus the response from a loyalist of the OBIDIENT campaign.
The SaharaReporters Publisher insisted that the LP flag bearer’s reaction to the power sector challenges is childish, adding that his tenure as an adviser didn’t witness any improvement in the generation, distribution, and transmission of energy supply.
He further mentioned Peter Obi’s trip to Egypt and the tour of their power situation, asking whether he failed to learn anything while on the expedition.
He also accused the initiator of the OBIDIENT movement that he is only pretending not to be aware of the challenges the sector has suffered for years.
