Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist and publisher of Saharareporters, has alleged an attempt on his life by a knife-wielding security agent at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
On Wednesday, during the hearing of the self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Marzi Nnamdi Kanu, Sowore came around to show solidarity.
In the act of counter-responding to the fresh charges filed against the IPOB leader, especially that on Terrorism, the human rights activist was suddenly attacked by some other hoodlums strongly believed to be under the payroll of the Government.

Aside from the supposed-security agent that was seen in a picture with a long knife to make a move on the Saharareporters publisher, it was learnt that other attackers descended on him, throwing stones and any other weapon they could lay their hands on at the scene of the incident.
It was also observed at the court premises that Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS showed indifference while he was being attacked as the road leading directing inside the court was, however, barricaded.
Earlier, before the High Court incident, the activist was reportedly returning from the Court of Appeal, where he went for the hearing of his appeal challenging the stringent bail conditions imposed on him by the Federal High Court, restricting him to Abuja.
