English Premier League side Southampton have signed Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid for a fee of £10.9m. The highly-rated 21-year-old player made 32 appearances for the Spanish La Liga side last season, The Saint has watched his impressive performance and signed to help build their defence ahead of the 2020/21 English Premier League season.
The English Premier League side manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said: “This is an important signing for us. Mohammed is a player who fits our profile well.” The Saints earlier this week signed Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker-Peters who has been on loan with them, they have now completed the Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu.
According to the Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu, he said: “Southampton is a club with a very rich history in developing young players, so it is a very good club for me to develop my skills and to learn a lot as a young player.”
