Sources Reveal Possible Replacement For Zinedine Zidane

Following Zinedine Zidane’s departure from Real Madrid, there are speculations that the club would reappoint Carlo Ancelotti.

According to a source, the deal for Ancelotti to return to Madrid is 99 per cent done. EveryEvery.ng gathered that Real president Florentino Perez is leading the negotiations with Ancelotti.

The source revealed that one outstanding issue is the compensation the Spanish side will pay to Everton, who appointed Ancelotti in December 2019.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that an agreement is close for Ancelotti, who previously coached Real between 2013 and 2015.

You will recall that Zidane had stated that he chose to leave because the club no longer has faith in him. Meanwhile, a Spanish football journalist Alvaro Montero described Zinedine Zidane as unpredictable after stepping down as Real Madrid head coach.

Ancelotti had in 2014 led Real to victory in the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, as well as Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup before he was sacked in 2015 after ending the season without a major trophy.

Ancelotti later coached Bayern Munich and Napoli before joining Everton in 2019 to replace Marco Silva.
