Share

It has been a call for justice all over the world as a black-American, George Floyd was murdered by a cop in the name of arrest.

The black-American society has been on protest for days, asking for justice for the 46-year-old American killed by a cop in Minnesotta, United States.

This has made Nigerian commercial singer, Slimcase to put up George Floyd’s picture and comment on the death of the American.

Slimcase

He captioned the post ‘‘FAME AFTER DEATH…any positive blow wey I gats blow God let me blow am now that I am alive not after I am dead. George A Sacrifice for the change in black history #blacklivesmatter”

This post by Slimcase got a backlash from a Nigerian who asked about the life of a 16-year-old who was also killed by a police officer in Nigeria few days ago. The young girl named Tina was killed by a trigger-happy police officer and has also led to the #JusticeforTina on Nigeria social media platforms.

Although some Nigerian celebrities like Banky W, M.I Abaga as well as other well-meaning Nigerians have called for justice for our own, the follower who commented on Slimcase’s post felt he hasn’t done well.

The reply by the ‘Codeine Diet’ singer has got him sticks by Nigerians. He replied @iam_slimcase ”we talking about a global pandemic here. Leave the Lagos girl for channels to talk about am”

Some Twitter users have questioned if he’s really a celebrity and why is he having a verified account with such comments.

We demand justice for anyone killed no matter the colour or race. May the souls of George Floyd, Tina and every other lives that has been cut short. #blacklivesmatter
