Singer, Nonso Bassey Calls Out Police For Assault
Singer and actor, Nonso Bassey calls out Police as he shared the nasty experience he had with them and how much of a menace police brutality is even after protests against it.
Nonso Bassey was a top finalist on the maiden edition of the popular talent show, The Voice. His music took off from that platform and quickly went up the entertainment ladder as he was also selected as part of the cast for African Magic’s telenovela, Battleground.
Despite being a public figure, Nonso still fell victim to the menacing Police brutality and took to his Twitter page to call the authorities out for abusing power and brutalizing him and his sister on the streets of Lagos. Part of his tweets read,
“This is my 3rd time being targeted, harassed, handcuffed and beaten by Police officers. FOR NOTHING!!! First 2 times I was arrested off the street and taken to police dungeons and threatened that nobody will ever find me. FOR WHAT?”
