Shoprite Worker Reportedly Commits Suicide In Ondo

A ShopRite worker in Akure, the Ondo State Capital identified as Jumoke Kehinde has reportedly committed suicide following an alleged suspension from work.

Confirming the development, a co-worker of the deceased told journalists that Kehinde was suspended for resuming late to work.

Meanwhile, the colleague said it was normal for anyone who resumed late to work to be sanctioned.

He said the deceased left the mall at about 11 am after the suspension adding that she was later found on the floor of her room shaking while her body was oozing with snipper odor.

It was gathered that body of the deceased was found in her apartment on New Year’s eve at Kajola axis, along Oda-road, Akure, the state capital.

The witness who spoke under the condition of anonymity, however, stated that no empty can was found anywhere as she was rushed to the hospital.

However, the Ondo Police Spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said that the incident was not reported as Everyevery.ng gathered that her body has been deposited in the morgue.
