Mario Balotelli Dismissed from Brescia Traning Ground

Former Manchester City and Liverpool Italian striker Mario Balotelli who currently plays for Brescia in the Italian Serie A was denied entrance to training ahead of the league resumption after a long time of lockdown. The Italian Serie A has been in lockdown for over two months now since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The league is hopeful to resume this month and so clubs have all resumed training ahead of the resumption. Brescia who recently told Mario Balotelli that after this season he can leave the club although his contract has not ended because of bad attitude to training has denied the Italian access to training.

Mario Balotelli resumed training only to be stopped from entering the training ground, Balotelli missed  many of their training sessions, and that has frustrated the club owner Massimo Cellino. The club is currently working on terminating his contract with them but while the termination is yet to be finalized, Balotelli has refused entrance to training.

A video posted on social media shows Mario Balotelli approaching the gates, before security personnel informed him he would not be allowed in. Balotelli had previously sent a medical certificate to Brescia informing them he was unable to train, which is due to expire on Wednesday.

He had been suffering from a bout of gastroenteritus, but had recovered prior to Tuesday’s training session. However by the time he had informed the club he would be attending the session, there was nobody in the office to deal with the necessary administration enabling him to take part.

If Balotelli was to join in with training and fall unwell or suffer injury, Brescia would not be covered by insurance. He was seen making a call on his mobile before jumping back into his car and leaving the facility.

It is the latest incident involving Balotelli at the club, who have already decided to cut their losses with the former Inter Milan and Manchester City striker. The former Inter Milan and AC Milan player has never had a perfect season in all the clubs he has played for, Cellino the owner of Brescia told newsmen that Balotelli is a mistake he said: “I think we both made a mistake.
