Sheyi Ojo Chose Cardiff City Over Three Other English Teams
Nigeria and British Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo is on the verge of joining Sky Bet Championship club Cardiff City on loan. Cardiff City is was not the only club that came for the player, the likes of Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield and Reading were all interested in the 23-year-old but he now appears to be heading to Cardiff City.
Sheyi Ojo who joined Liverpool far back in 2011 has already had five loan spells away from the English Premier League side, he was previously loaned to Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Reims and Rangers. The young striker scored five goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for Rangers last season.
His current contract with the English Premier League champions will expire in the summer of 2023, but Liverpool still wants the player to still be on loan for now as his position is packed up with lots of players. Sheyi is one player who has been linked to England national team call up with Nigeria also battling to bring the Nigerian back home. He played in the England Under 20 and was among the England team that won the last Under-20 World Cup.
