A former Lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has identified the different types of terrorists terrorising the country, given the rise in the spate of killings, abductions and banditry in Nigeria.
The Ex-lawmaker, who is very active on Twitter, noted that the terrorists in the North-west region are called bandits while they are called terrorists in the South-west region.
“The Terrorists in the North West are called Bandits. The Terrorists in d South West are called Unknown Gunmen. The Terrorists in d South East are called Hoodlums. The Terrorists in d North Central are called Herdsmen or Militia. The Terrorists in the North East are called Terrorists.” Shehu Sani tweeted.
Meanwhile, the Senator had earlier expressed concerns over how some Governors are also reporting the killings like Journalists and lamenting the mass killings like Chief Security Officers.
Sani also condemned the suspension placed on a Political programme on Channels Television, noting that there is nothing so sensitive, provocative or inciting about the interview conducted by the Television station to warrant such fine or suspension.
According to him, the action of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC would encourage more people to tune to the channel.
He had opined that the leaders of the Northern region need to establish an intelligence-gathering committee headed by a retired Military officer and made up of security experts and former personnel if the region doesn’t want to set up a regional security outfit.
