Sergio Ramos to Miss Paris Showdown Against Real Madrid

Paris Saint Germaine defender Sergio Ramos is set to miss the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg against his former side Real Madrid.

The official website of PSG revealed on Tuesday that the former Los Blancos Captain will still be having individual training while trying to recover from his recurrent calf injury.

Sergio Ramos Still Injured

The statement titled Monday’s medical update is on Ramos read “Sergio Ramos will continue to train on his own following his calf injury. A further update will be provided in a week.”

The 35-year-old reunion with his former side is now ruled out after departing Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2021 for Parc des Princes as a free agent.

Ramos had earlier stated that he was looking forward to playing against Real and would give everything to the cause of new employers.
