Senate Call For Review Of Age Limit For Job Seekers
Nigeria Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan has disclosed that the National Assembly had on Wednesday, July 15 passed a resolution on the need to review the age limit of job seekers in the country.
In a tweet on his Twitter handle, the Senate President noted that the resolution is aimed at urging the executive arm of government to direct the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity to set up a Committee to see to the review.
He said the resolution was made following a motion brought before the Senate by Senator Ibrahim Gobir is to allow competent applicants to be employed by the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.
Lawan added that the National Assembly would ensure that the ministry swings into action immediately and implement the resolution.
According to him, it is not a fault of young Nigerians that people are discriminated against.
