Selena Gomez, an American singer and actress, has mentioned that she is considering adopting children if she is not in a relationship by the age of 35.
The 31-year-old singer shared that she thought of the idea after being single for five years before getting into a relationship with producer and songwriter Benny Blanco last year.
In a recent interview with Time Magazine, the former Disney star discussed her initial struggles with feeling lonely and the factors that aided her in feeling more content about not being in a relationship.
“I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,” she said.
“A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”
Selena Gomez stated that her current relationship with Blanco occurred unexpectedly.
She verified that she was dating Benny Blanco in December 2023.
Gomez was in a relationship with The Weeknd, for a brief 10 months back in 2017, and before that, she had a long, on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber.
