Two Nigerian singers have been listed among the ‘Most Influential African Woman of 2020’ by Avance Media. Gospel singer, Sinach and Afropop singer, Yemi Alade had a spot in the newly compiled list.
Sinach, who has the most streamed gospel song by a Nigerian joined self-acclaimed ‘Mama Africa‘, Yemi Alade in the new list that is made up of women from African countries.
The women were listed according to their respective contribution to the development of Africa. Nigeria tops the recent list with 20 appearances while South Africa and Ghana followed with 11 and 9 women leaders respectively.
Nigerian women from different sectors recorded the most appearance in the 100 Most Influential woman in Africa as compiled by Avance Media among which is singers, Yemi Alade and Sinach.
Notable Nigerian women on the list include Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Toyin Saraki, Uche Pedro (Bella Naija), Linda Ikeji, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Amina J. Mohammed, Halima Dangote and so on.
Beninese Grammy-award winning singer, Angelique Kidjo also took a spot in the 100 Most Influential African woman.
Nigerian gospel singer, Sinach makes the list for the first time in the entertainment category.
