Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has pointed out the person responsible for Manchester United loss yesterday. Manchester United was defeated by German side RB Leipzig 3-2 which means they are no more in the 2020/20 Uefa Champions League.
Manchester United only needed a draw to progress to the last 16 round but failed to do so. Paul Scholes has said he is not
blaming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for last night’s defeat but the goalkeeper David de Gea. United conceded twice inside 13 minutes to leave their hopes in tatters before RB Leipzig made it three with just 20 minutes left.
Manchester United tried to stage their now customary second-half fightback but this time could not make it happen. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for the away team from the penalty spot before Paul Pogba’s header made it two. United came too late into the game as they won the possession but could not win the game which is the most important.
Pogba had started on the bench and came on with 30 minutes to go, a day after his agent Mino Raila said his client was not happy at United and “has to leave” in the next transfer window.
Manchester United could still have hope depending on the result that will come from Paris Saint Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir. Their game was suspended after one of the match official was accused of racial abuse on a black man.
Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand have not said anything about the sack of Ole which clearly shows shows they back the manager. They are rather saying Pogba should talk to his manager or better still him after the comment he made.
