The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed concern over the level of insecurity in Nigeria.
He made this known during a Stakeholders’ Engagement on Internal Security and Conflict Resolution in the state on Tuesday, November 24.
Sanwolu-Olu noted that the level of insecurity across the nation calls for serious concern, considering its implication not only on the socio-economic development.
He added that the insecurity has also affected the prosperity of Nigerians, the unity and territorial integrity of the country at large.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, however, reiterated that the importance of an effective strategy for peaceful resolution of conflict cannot be overemphasised.
He disclosed that his administration has reignited the communication link between government and the people so that conspiracy theorists will not be able to infiltrate and spread disinformation and misinformation that would jeopardise the future of the country.
