The German defender Antonio Rudiger is set to leave Chelsea at the end of his contract after he could not extend his contract.

The 28-year-old is not interested in renewing his contract after Chelsea failed to match his renewal request.

Rudiger Offered Madrid Contract

Real Madrid is keenly following Rudiger’s situation as there have been reports that they are ready to offer him more significant wages.

His contract will expire in the summer of 2022, and he has no intention of renewing his deal.

The last offer Chelsea made to him was around $9Million net per year, while he demands around $14Million net per season.

Thomas Tuchel is still hopeful that the club can reach a contract agreement with the defender as he sees him as a core leader in the squad.

The last contract offered to Rudiger will see him earn less than his teammates like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku.

Another European giant has been interested in the German defender; Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-German are keeping a close eye on him, but Real Madrid remains a favourite to meet his wage demand.
