Ross Barkley Dedicates Goal to One Medical Staff

Leicester City has now lost two straight matches in a row following their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa. Chelsea star player Ross Barkley who is currently on loan with the Aston Villa was the man of the day as he ensured his side continued in the unbeaten run. The player dedicated his winning goal to Aston Villa’s medical staff as Dean Smith’s side maintained their 100% start to the season.

The game looked set to be the first goalless match of the campaign, but Barkley finished incisively into the bottom corner to give Villa all three points and send them second in the Premier League. Aston Villa have won their opening four top-flight games for the first time in 90 years. Ross Barkley who joined Aston Villa on loan from Chelsea in the summer and has been impressive for the West Midlands club, with the goal his second in as many games.

According to Ross Barkley, he said: “I was 50-50 in the week and our club doctor did a really good job getting me right.” He also revealed that a knee problem had left him in doubt for Sunday’s game but he played it anyway. He said a medical stuff had encouraged him to play the game and told he was going to score the wining goal and so that is why he is dedicating the goal to him.

Aston Villa who narrowly avoided relegation last season has been doing well since the start of the season in a very magnificent fashion, beating defending champions Liverpool 7-2 before the International break. They have won four Premier League games in a row for the first time since 2009, stretching their unbeaten run in the competition to eight games.
