Cristiano Ronaldo opened a new record with Manchester United as he scored two goals in their fourth English Premier League game against Newcastle United. The Portuguese international scored twice on his return to Manchester United.
The massive turn-up that came to cheer him up were not disappointed as gave the crowd exactly what they demanded. Ronaldo made his debut one fan will remember forever following. He broke the deadlock in the first-half added time when he tapped in after visiting keeper Freddie Woodman spilled Mason Greenwood’s shot.
Then, after Javier Manquillo levelled scores for Newcastle United with his first goal for the club, Ronaldo finished off a flowing move by racing onto Luke Shaw’s through ball and drilling a low shot through Woodman’s legs.
His Portuguese team-mate Bruno Fernandes then rifled in the goal of the game from Paul Pogba’s square pass and curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the area. Substitute Jesse Lingard added a fourth in added time to make scores 4-1.
